I’m off to Boston for a WBCN gig on sunday … Lakers and Celtics… I can’t believe it…. I will be going to at least one game on each coast … Slaine get my money ready ……..

Sorry I was runnin and gunnin last week from Santa Barbara to NY and Vegas for the UFC . Didn’t bring the computer but I got a few pics I’ll try and post later . The shows went well band is coming together . Getting ready for Beantown on the 1st .

The tour that you guys started seeing dates for is being moved closer to the release of the record . So essentially the same shows will happen just more likely in late August instead of late june early july …. as usual I will post new info when I get it then confirm it and then reconfirm it …. Headed to NY for the Hard Rock gig … I’ll take some flicks … 1.

I sometimes forget in a weird way that what I write here can be read by everyone . Even though thats the purpose you get kind of comfortable in the privacy of your home when you just start typing . That being said I’m sorry to come off like some kind of whiny arty fuck when there are far bigger reasons to be upset . My being bummed was more about once again not getting the right information out to you guys . I am just ready to go and the summer will be good . I just want to have the record out and see if you all dig it …. or even hate it ….. who knows ? But I made a deal with my partners and I know they are truly doing what they feel is right to help get more folks aware of the release …. I appreciate all the comments of support but it’s a silly thing to get down over …. On another note I just got booked to do a show for the Navy in NY early next week , should be interesting …….

The record is being released on September 23rd ….or so THEY say …..  I don’t know what to say . I have actually been in a funk over it . Even though I do have my own label I still rely on marketing money from my partners and distributors and they felt June 24th was too soon for them to set up the record properly . I argued till I was blue even though I was promised June 24th . I don’t know what else to say . I am working on some kind of consolation for those of you who have been waiting like a 3 or 4 song packet on iTunes or something . I have been waiting to put this record out for 5 months now and the stress is wearing me down a bit . I don’t know what or who to believe at the moment . I don’t feel very empowered at the moment . On another note “Letters Home” is on iTunes and has had near 1000 downloads in just a couple days . The Johnny Cash video is done and I’m very happy with that . I can only say that I’ve been telling you guys everything I know and will continue to do so …. If they don’t release then I might just give the fucking thing away … I’m severely bummed right now …

Just got back from NOLA … It was a very emotional little journey . I was inspired by the attitude of most of the volunteers . I haven’t broken a sweat like that in 20 years . 150 young adults and a few of us elders made our way into the city to try and bring what minimal relief we could to some folks, but the big picture is still quite overwhelming …. here are a few pics …

Yes tourists actually pay to drive thru on busses and take pictures but never get out and even speak to the people of the 9th ward . The sign states my opinion on those folks accurately .




This was my demo crew we were put in charge of busting up the side walk and digging a driveway for a future clinic thats being built . These kids worked like beasts with me all day in the hot sun . They all got painful blisters and some had bloody hands but never quit on me for a second . I hope they’re not as sore as I am from swinging a sledgehammer all day . Overall the volunteers were the shit . Out of 150 maybe 8 or 9 were deadbeats and I let them know it . To all that really got their hands dirty I salute you and look forward to seeing you next year . To the very few who thought they were on some hippie vacation ( and you know who you are because I put you on blast out there ) next year stay the fuck home and outta the way.

Also I was informed today that more than 20 of our young volunteers have stayed behind for up to a month with the “Common Ground” relief people . All I can say is I am proud to have broken a sweat with you folks . See you next year Insha’Allah …

Last night I get a call from my good friend Dana White (pres of the UFC if you didn’t know) he invited me down to the Viper Room for a VERY exclusive little get together for which he hired Joan Jett to play. Needless to say I headed down there with the homie Fredwreck to check it out ….
