NEW YORK (AP) - On buttons, posters and Web sites, the image was everywhere during last year’s presidential campaign: A pensive Barack Obama looking upward, as if to the future, splashed in a Warholesque red, white and blue and underlined with the caption HOPE.Designed by Shepard Fairey, a Los-Angeles based street artist, the image has led to sales of hundreds of thousands of posters and stickers, has become so much in demand that copies signed by Fairey have been purchased for thousands of dollars on eBay.The image, Fairey has acknowledged, is based on an Associated Press photograph, taken in April 2006 by Manny Garcia on assignment for the AP at the National Press Club in Washington.The AP says it owns the copyright, and wants credit and compensation. So Joaquin Phoenix is going around talking about he’s quitting acting and taking up rapping … anyone who believes this is for real is a bigger douchebag then Joaquin is …. He’s probably just pissed because so many rappers are getting roles in movies and is trying to make some kind of point by mocking hip hop in general as if just anyone can do it … Heres the problem with the stunt though . It’s not clever by any means nor is it funny and it’s definitely not a case of “wow he can actually emcee” because he lacks any sense of rhythm or any kind of style …. Yet most of these rappers turn out to be decent actors … If it is a hoax it’s very lame and if not someone needs to slap some sense into dude ….

For the people questioning the difference between this add and the pringles add first of all pringles didn’t have my permission secondly they tried to pay peanuts for it and last but worst of all they had their stupid little mustache man pop off the can rapping my song . Now as far as the Bridgestone add cats were mad respectful and generous in their compensation and I knew what the premise for the add was before hand.  I’m pretty sure I saw Bob Dylan in a Pepsi commercial …. It’s just part of the game now … it’s a double edged sword …. but you can’t look a gift horse in the mouth ….. I can’t think of any more clich’e’s  ….. oh yeah I forgot another reason … IT WAS THE FUCKING SUPERBOWL!!!!!! ….. as always Let the HATERS HATE ….. ; )
